How to safely use multiple serums:

  1. Apply from thinnest to thickest texture

    • Watery → gel → creamy

    • This helps absorption and prevents pilling

  2. Target different concerns

    • Example:

      • Morning: Vitamin C (brightening) + Hyaluronic Acid (hydrating)

      • Night: Niacinamide (oil control) + Retinol (anti-aging)

  3. Limit to 2–3 serums at a time

    • Too many actives can overwhelm or irritate your skin

  4. Patch test when adding new serums

    • Especially if you’re using ingredients like acids or retinoids

⚠️ Serums you should not mix directly:

Avoid MixingWhy
Vitamin C + NiacinamideCan cancel each other out (modern formulas are more stable, but still tricky)
Retinol + AHAs/BHAsCan over-exfoliate and irritate
Vitamin C + RetinolCan cause sensitivity, better to use at different times of day

💡 Pro tip:

Try layering no more than 2 active serums in one routine, and alternate others on different days or times (AM vs PM).
