These crispy, spicy tofu nuggets are the perfect high-protein, plant-based snack or meal! Air-fried for extra crunch without the grease, they’re packed with bold flavors and make a delicious alternative to traditional nuggets.
π Ingredients:
✅ 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed & cut into bite-sized cubes
✅ 2 tbsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness!)
✅ 1 tbsp olive oil
✅ 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
✅ 1 tsp garlic powder
✅ 1 tsp onion powder
✅ 1 tsp smoked paprika
✅ ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
✅ ½ tsp black pepper
✅ ½ tsp salt
π₯ Spicy Coating (Optional but Recommended!):
✅ 2 tbsp hot sauce (like sriracha or buffalo sauce)
✅ 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (for balance)
✅ 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

1️⃣ Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut into cubes.
2️⃣ In a bowl, toss tofu with olive oil, soy sauce, and all dry seasonings.
3️⃣ Sprinkle cornstarch over tofu and toss until evenly coated.
4️⃣ Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and place tofu in a single layer.
5️⃣ Air fry for 15-18 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
6️⃣ For extra heat, toss in spicy coating before serving!
