Let’s gooo π — here’s how to make a classic spaghetti dish (super simple version, great for beginners):
π Basic Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce
π Ingredients:
-
Spaghetti (about 100g / 3.5 oz per person)
-
1 jar of tomato sauce (or canned crushed tomatoes)
-
2 cloves of garlic (optional, but adds flavor)
-
Olive oil (or any cooking oil)
-
Salt
-
Optional: Parmesan cheese, herbs (basil, oregano), ground meat or veggies
π₯ Step-by-step:
1. Boil the Spaghetti
-
Fill a big pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil.
-
Add spaghetti and cook for about 8–10 minutes, or follow the time on the package.
-
Stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick.
2. Make the Sauce
-
While pasta cooks, heat 1–2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
-
Add chopped garlic and stir for 30 seconds (don’t burn it!).
-
Pour in the tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes.
-
Let it simmer for 5–10 minutes. Add salt, pepper, or herbs if you like.
3. Combine
-
Drain the pasta when it’s done (but don’t rinse it).
-
Add spaghetti to the pan with the sauce and toss it all together.
4. Serve
-
Plate it up and top with grated Parmesan or fresh basil if you’ve got it.
