1. Use Sunscreen—Every Day

UV radiation is one of the biggest culprits behind premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and skin damage. Even on cloudy days or when indoors near windows, UVA rays can penetrate the skin and damage your cells. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply every two hours when outdoors. Sunscreen is your best defense against long-term damage and should be a non-negotiable part of your morning routine.

2. Cleanse Gently

Using a harsh cleanser can strip your skin of natural oils, leaving it dry and vulnerable. Opt for a mild, hydrating cleanser—especially if you have sensitive or dry skin. Cleanse your face twice daily (morning and night) to remove dirt, oil, and pollutants without disturbing your skin’s natural barrier.

3. Moisturize to Lock in Hydration

Moisturizing daily helps to lock in water, soothe irritation, and strengthen the skin barrier. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin—these help draw moisture into the skin and keep it there. Applying moisturizer while your skin is still damp enhances absorption and keeps your skin plump and healthy.

4. Avoid Harsh Products & Over-Exfoliating

While exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells and can brighten your complexion, overdoing it weakens your skin’s protective barrier. Stick to exfoliating 1–2 times per week using gentle acids (like lactic or mandelic acid) if needed. Avoid products with high alcohol content, synthetic fragrance, or strong astringents that can strip and irritate the skin.

A diet rich in antioxidants, healthy fats, and water contributes significantly to skin health. Foods like berries, leafy greens, fatty fish, nuts, and seeds help combat oxidative stress and support collagen production. Staying hydrated from the inside out also helps maintain skin elasticity and a dewy glow.
